“Waiting out the Rain“ is a stark hommage to Roma culture in modern Kosovo. In this Post Family exhibit, Swiss photographer, Ester Vonplon, pairs her own photographs with those taken by the Roma children that she befriended while teaching photography workshops in Rahovec/Orahovac, a village in the South of Kosovo.

Abraham Werewolf @ Gorilla Tango

This Friday, May 6, the good cholos of Abraham Werewolf are putting on their newest production, For Profit, at Gorilla Tango.

Those that purchase tickets to the opening night show will be invited to The Southern for some free cocktails from Maker's Mark and Effen Vodka. More about the show after the jump.

While I'm not entirely sure what to expect from the show other than something equally as awesome as the trailer for it. Here's the press blurb about it:

Theatre is no longer the language of dissent. In fact, it has always been a contract of manipulation: the suspension of disbelief. What else can be suspended? Morals? Judgement? Willpower? Abraham Werewolf begins its 2011/2012 season with FOR PROFIT, a unique theatrical experience which presents a view of the artistic process in a funhouse mirror.

Through a series of interconnected scenes, FOR PROFIT takes the audience down the assembly line of a powerful and sinister machine, where personality becomes product and theatre exists not for the public, but for profit.
