On a recent trip to Portland my girlfriend and I stumbled upon an absolute gem, the IPRC. We raced inside to explore further this "zine library." A quick elevator ride to the second floor and we were immediately greeted by the on-duty zine librarian. He was excited to give us the backstory and a tour through the various facilities and galleries. But first, the circulating zine library. wow. I could've spent the whole day here with a cup of tea just browsing the hundreds of publications. But it just got better as we weaved through the space. The library connected to the desktop publishing room which led to the comp room which eventually led to my ultimate love, the letterpress facilities. 5 table-top letterpresses all pumping out work. After this dream tour, we took a quick look at their new space across the hallway, a dedicated gallery with a giant perfect binder in the middle. Awesome.
The IPRC is definitely an integral part of the Portland community. Not only for the seasoned artists and designers but also disenfranchised youth who can find inspiration and support here.
An inspiring trip out west. For sure.

It was certainly interesting for me to read the post. Thank author for it. I like such topics and anything connected to them. I definitely want to read a bit more on that site soon.
