Totally awesome illustration.
Have a look see.

While reading the new Apartamento (best magazine ever) I happened upon an interview with Leon Ransmeier, an NYC-based industrial designer. His work is almost amazing as his Manhattan rooftop live/work shack (read about it in the new Apartamento, so rad).

Music Mondays
In lieu of some of the recent throwback videos that have been popping up, here is another from a different time. With what could quite possibly be the best kazoo solo ever recorded, I'm pretty certain this is my new rise and shine anthem.

Circa 1994
In case you haven't seen this one. Certainly makes you recognize how fast thing move. See our friend Katie Couric and Bryant Gumbel try to articulate what that internet thing is all about.

Draw Your Mind
Of all the great products from MMMG, these notebooks are my favorite. Nice and simple.

at MoMA!
I'm sure this has already spread like wildfire, but it's rad to see MoMA expanding it's permanent design collection with typefaces. Seems like a no-brainer. I think they have chosen some good ones and some wicked awful ones. I just can't hang with the grungy 90's stuff but it represents a time and a place in our digital history.
The face above is one of my favorites from the selected, Mercury!

Thorsten Schmidtkord
I used twitter to help find some inspiration and got back this gem! I can't read German (where are you when we need you Ina) but, couldn't pass on posting this series by Thorsten Schmidtkord.

Eugene Good, Jim & Tina Darling
Public Art
A project recently finished for Primary Flight 2010 (the worlds largest street level installation). Eugene Good along with artists Jim & Tina Darling, they built a ginormous installation in Miami, Fl, which was all constructed and painted by hand. And, to top that off they ventured off in search of all the materials for the project, and found a beat up speed boat.
Thanks Lisa
